Dr. Susan Senft went way above and beyond to save our vacation! While visiting the big island, my wife started seeing a flurry of “floaters” which is a warning sign for possible retina problems. She called her optometrist back home who told us to immediately head to the ER. They didn’t have an ophthalmologist on call, but thankfully put us in touch with Dr Senft. It was Saturday afternoon during her day off but she immediately agreed to meet us at her office to conduct an impromptu examination. I mean who offers this level of personal service and commitment anymore? She was very thorough and explained things in lay persons terms that we could easily understand. Best of all, she confirmed the problem didn’t require immediate attention and that we could resume our vacation without worry. Whew, what a HUGE relief! Bottom line, if she didn’t offer to do the exam right then and there, we would’ve been forced to take the next flight out to Oahu to see a specialist, effectively putting an end to our vacation. So yes, Dr. Senft literally saved the day and for that we are very grateful. If you’re in need of an eye specialist who is compassionate, competent, personable and professional, look no further!
